People often ask me what spiritual direction is and what I do. I attempt to explain it and sometimes am at a loss for words. I prefer to invite seekers into a discovery session to experience spiritual direction for themselves.
As a spiritual director I provide a safe space of listening and accompanying for you as you are exploring your spiritual journey. It is a space to be real about struggles as well as victories in your life with God. A spiritual director is especially helpful if you desire to deepen your awareness of the divine in your everyday life, need discernment during times of transition, feel burnt out or stuck, or simply desire a sacred companion to accompany you on your spiritual journey.
I meet my directees in person, skype, facetime, whatsapp, or phone once a month for an hour. Our sessions will often include moments of stillness, silence and listening along with questions for deeper discovery and contemplation. Unlike the name director suggests, sessions with a spiritual director really aren't directive, instructive or corrective but through sacred conversation with spiritual listening you will connect in a deeper way with divine truth leading you towards fullness of life and purpose.
